Hi, I’m Kameo! I’m a middle school Language Arts teacher with over 7 years of classroom experience at the middle & high school levels, and a mom to a sweet boy and girl. I’ve taught in the South and the Midwest (hello humidity!), but I’m happy to call Chicago home.
I know that teaching is important, and it is also really hard work.
Here you will find simple and essential resources for Secondary Language Arts teachers with the aim to ultimately help avoid teacher burnout- both in and out of the classroom. To make teaching sustainable, I’ve learned to simplify and to prioritize taking care of myself outside of the classroom.
The work we do in our classrooms doesn’t have to be fancy or elaborate to make an impact!
I’ve always said my dream job is being a mom, and now I get to take a step back from the classroom and do just that. As I pour time into my family, I am equally excited about the prospect of offering my support to ELA teachers as a means to contribute to my passion for education.
